Hylo Night

Formerly named VitA-POS, Hylo-Night is a cost effective, preservative-free ointment that is easy to use and ideal for night-time use. It is a light paraffin-based ointment which also contains vitamin A, which has been shown to improve symptoms of blurred vision and tear film stability in dry eyes.

Vitamin A is part of the natural tear film and as such is very well tolerated as a lubricant. Vitamin A is required for the normal growth, maintenance and maturation of corneal cells and is therefore effective in their treatment when applied topically.

Hylo-Night has a much softer consistency than some of the older eye ointments, and as such is much easier to apply and more comfortable to use. It is preservative free and remains sterile for up to 3 months once opened and provides lubrication for at least 6 hours.

As Hylo-Night is ointment based it cannot be used with contact lenses, but it does provide long term relief for contact lens wearers, i.e., during the night.
