Hycosan Shield is a preservative and phosphate free eye drop designed to relieve symptoms of dry eye. The eye’s surface is covered by a thin layer of tears, the tear film, which protects, nourishes and lubricates the eyes. Hycosan Shield is a unique and innovative eye drop that replaces the tear film’s outer layer to form a shield and protect the tear film from evaporating. It contains a single ingredient formulation, 100% Perfluorohexyloctane.

Hycosan Shield is phosphate and preservative free, meaning it is less likely to cause additional irritation and can be used by those who suffer from sensitive eyes. It is also compatible with ComplEye, the easy-to-use compliance aid.

Hycosan has a unique, patented, COMOD system which release one drop for every click in a pump action technique. It is an easy-to-use eye drop with low surface tension for optimum spreading ability with minimum visual impairment. Hycosan Shield can be used for up to 6 months once opened.
