Macu-Save contains Meso-Zeaxanthin, Lutein and Zeaxanthin, derived using extracts of the marigold flower. These three ingredients are also the same three macular carotenoids found in high concentrations at the back of the eye. They are found within the yellow-coloured filter or macular pigment, which is believed to protect the macula against damaging visible blue light or oxidative stress. Research has shown that this precise combination of carotenoids may be of particular benefit, boosting the diet, enhancing the macular pigment and improving its vital protective function.
